With the Chinese New Year season just round the corner, I believe everyone is busy with all the preparations. Our team, for one, have just finished massively cleaning out our storeroom and tidying up our new attic. Future couples can look forward to another new setting lined up, I’ll keep everyone updated on when that would be.

I would also like to inform everyone that our entire team will be in Hong Kong to facilitate some final set ups and also to participate in the wedding fair that will run from 19th – 21st February. Our phone lines will be diverted to voice mail but our we are readily contactable via email.

Here’s wishing everyone 新年快樂.

We’ve been uploading some of our recent clients on our Facebook page. The latest being Mingweii and Grace’s wedding day photography shot by Max. I very much adore this image:

Benjamin and Cherlyn, like Mingweii & Grace, had their pre-wedding photography by Chris. For their wedding day, they had engaged Eugene.

Chris himself had a family shoot last month and Suan Kiow and family just collected their canvases and albums in time for Chinese New Year. It was actually Suan Kiow’s daughter’s, Lynnette, idea to engage Chris for his photography and she secured our 15th anniversary package 3 years ago! Lynnette wanted a little album for herself and her darling pooch Steinzer on top of the studio photography and I’m guessing it’s her graduation present from Suan Kiow.

Eugene has been busy with his pre-wedding photography as well, Rayner and Stephanie engaged us for their wedding and it was a fun challenge producing their album and canvases in barely 5 weeks! We will never miss a wedding deadline.

Last but not least, I’d like to share Beng Soon and Li Yan’s images shot by Skyy, on location in Macau. Skyy never fails to put in vast amounts of effort in her composition and post production, I dare say Beng Soon and Li Yan were very happy indeed.

You can find the rest of the images in our albums on www.facebook.com/chrisling.intl.

Chris was rather interested to visit the abandoned mansion, the Tyersall House, frequented by many a Singapore photographer. He came about the idea when Skyy was showing him some images of run down buildings and decided Tyersall was worth a recce. Since I had been there once before, and also because I love to visit obscure areas, I decided to tag along with Chris and Skyy. I guess getting our shoes dirty was part of the fun, but I wouldn’t have gone if I was wearing my heels.

More of Kee Kang & Xue Pei’s pics are available on our Facebook page.

They came by our studio for their selection last weekend, and they brought their extremely adorable niece over. They were babysitting 4 year old Celeste, so why not bring her down to the studio? Skyy and I agreed that she’s an extremely creative little angel with an outstanding personality to boot. To pass time, little Celeste decided to draw

And a wedding cake:

No it’s not a golf bag, it’s a wedding cake. There’s a little mouse on the wedding cake, yes a mouse. Why? Because it’s a cheesecake, she says!

It’s been a hectic year with what our bookings and expansion, and it’s excellent progress. As they say, busy is good and we’re not complaining. Today we have finished our last shoot for 2009, and coincidentally it was done for our own senior wedding day photographer Darrel Chia (portfolio at www.thegallery.com.sg) and his lovely fiance Geraldine. Chris has finished their pre-wedding photography today and Eugene will be covering their actual day.

I have uploaded more images on our Facebook page.

On a last note for 2009, we are grateful to still stand strong after 17 years and appreciative of all the support we received from our clients, not to mention those that rushed to beat the deadline on Amanda Lee Wedding’s promotional collaboration with our studio for December.

2010 would mark the 18th year we’re in business and we hope you will give us your continued interest as we sculpt more concepts. For husbands-and-wives-to-be, we’ll keep our subscribers to The Chris Ling Privilege informed beforehand of promotional material.

Happy New Year in advance!

It is our pleasure to announce that we will be exclusively managing award winning photographer Ernest Goh’s wedding portfolio for 2010. A professional photographer well known in the commercial industry, Ernest is based in the UK and takes on commissioned works.

It took me 2 years to convince him to let us manage his wedding photography portfolio as commissioned photographers rarely take on wedding day jobs. Better late then never, and I’m very much looking forward to working with him. Official information on his rates, which will include his air ticket and accommodation, will be released soon.
