Our True Story

Close-up pre-wedding photo of a wedding couple in wedding attire, captured in Chris Ling Photography studio. They are holding hands, hugging and smiling happily.

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of pre-wedding photos?

More often, you would start thinking "Special Place", "Unique Location". Yet, these words, "Places to Shoot", "Pre-Wedding Photography Locations", "Singapore Outdoors", "Overseas Wedding Photography", are often overused because they are the norm that has led many to believe will be the product of a good pre-wedding album. Does a nice background make for a nice picture?

We are here to break that norm! For those who are unable to travel overseas, on a budget, or simply do not have access to restricted areas, we will show you what would truly make a beautiful, precious, and unique pre-wedding photography album without breaking the bank!

An image captures the magic, and the photographs will tell your story. When it comes to expressing a couple's relationship, journey, and story in an album, we need two elements: the setting and the characters.

Location, Location, Location - Myth!

A common myth of pre-wedding photography. Settings can be easily chosen to give you a beautiful background, think Eiffel Tower for a magical city vibe or the blue oceans of the Maldives to exude a tropical romance.

Bringing it back on our Singapore shores, you can be resourceful when it comes to location, location, location. Put the wedding couple in front of the camera and snap away.

Characters: The Real Magic - Fact!

One fact of pre-wedding photography. After you find the right locations, would you be happy with your images?

Initially, yes, the landscape is amazing. At this point, we would like to emphasize that your wedding is not a nature documentary, it is instead the union of two people in love.

Many pre-wedding photographers can train themselves to shoot beautiful landscapes, but how many pre-wedding photographers can expertly focus on the magic that is happening between the couple?

We always had the solution!

Technically, one must understand different human physiques to capture the best angles. Mentally, one must possess excellent communication skills so that couples look so natural that they can pass off as seasoned models with the skill for posing!

Here at Chris Ling, we understand that our medium is a visual one and each image that we create must contain a powerful story or message. Your audience will soak in that magic! With the technical expertise (hard skills) and excellent communication (soft skills), our photographers will know how to bring out the couple's characters onto print.

Focus on WHO you are, now where you are.

Take it from Chris, if he doesn't know how to make real magic, he would not be able to maintain his pre-wedding photography studio for 30 years! We will save that story for another day.
